Jewelry Care
Tips
These are great starting points to prevent tarnishing and signs of wear.
1. Keep it dry. If it gets wet, try to wipe it down immediately.
2. Store it away from the sun. Cloth bags are excellent for reducing scratches and protecting them from sunlight.
3. Take them off before strenuous activities. Jewelry is delicate, treating it gently always helps : )
Pro Tips
1. Storing in a Ziploc. I know it doesn't look asthetically pleasing, but you can store your jewelry in an airtight ziploc. Since exposure to moisture in the air can degrade your jewelry, use a straw to suck up as much air as possible. Consider doubling up by using both the cloth pouch and the ziploc!
2. Jewelry protectant spray or clear polish. I HAVE NOT TESTED THESE. However, if you notice your jewelry tarnising it could be worth trying AT YOUR OWN RISK. In the future I will test some solutions on the metals I use and update this page on what works.
Moisture, Acids, Oils and Air
These are the 4 biggest causes for jewelry to wear down and tarnish. All jewelry has the potential to show signs of wear, but when that happens depends on the way you care for them and the materials the jewelry is made from.
Please refer to the Materials Used page for a general idea of the materials used in your Sinceria jewelry.
